President Bola Tinubu has issued a directive ordering the enrollment of each Nigerians into the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, database by the end of 2026.
This was made known by NIMC Director-General/CEO, Abisoye Coker-Odusote, portion speaking connected Channels TV Sunday politics.
According to Coker-Odusote, the committee has successful full captured 137,371,080 Nigerians successful its database.
“We are present mandated by the President that we should spell down to the assemblage level and enroll each azygous Nigerian.
“The President person fixed america till the end of this year to marque definite that we seizure each azygous Nigerian,” she said.
To execute this target, the NIMC has partnered with applicable organisations nether the World Bank’s Identification for Development, ID4D, project.
