Police foil cattle rustling attempt, arrest suspect in Katsina

According to him, the information squad traced the suspects and intercepted them astatine the Jibia Dam Site, wherever a weapon duel ensued.

He said the suspects were overwhelmed by the superior firepower of the information unit and abandoned the rustled animals earlier fleeing with varying degrees of gunshot injuries.

Aliyu said the information squad searched the country and arrested a 22-year-old suspected cattle rustler.

He added that the recovered animals comprised 15 cows and 35 sheep.

The fishy is presently successful constabulary custody and assisting investigators with utile information.
