Police exhume bodies of kidnap victims killed after N11m ransom payment

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command person exhumed the bodies of 2 kidnap victims allegedly killed by their abductors successful Isiukhu Community, Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state.

DAILY POST gathered that 1 of the victims, 66-year-old Mrs Favour Nosakhare, was killed aft allegedly paying N11 cardinal ransom to the abductors.

The Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASP, Eno Ikoedem, disclosed this successful a connection made disposable to newsmen on Wednesday.

Ikoedem said the exhumation of the corpses followed the apprehension of a 23-year-old, Musa Haruna, a subordinate of a syndicates notorious for kidnapping and equipped robbery.

She gave the names of the different abducted victims arsenic Mrs Emmanuel Annabel Osasere, 28, and Miss Rejoice Otikpere, 26, a home aide.

She said the victims were abducted connected May 9, 2026, erstwhile gunmen invaded their residence.
