NSCDC arrests suspected car thieves, robbers, recovers stolen vehicles, AK-47 in Abuja

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has paraded respective suspects arrested for alleged engagement successful car theft, equipped robbery, cablegram vandalism, theft of cultivation infrastructure and different transgression activities wrong the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, and neighbouring states.

The suspects were presented astatine the Corps’ National Headquarters successful Abuja pursuing a bid of intelligence-led operations carried retired by the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad.

Among those arrested was Adam Yusuf, who was identified by the NSCDC arsenic a suspected subordinate of a car-snatching syndicate operating crossed aggregate states.

According to the Corps, Yusuf was apprehended nether the Mpape Flyover portion allegedly attempting to present a stolen Toyota Camry.

The NSCDC besides disclosed that an AK-47 rifle, 16 rounds of ammunition and N70,000 were recovered from suspects linked to an equipped robbery operation.

Other suspects paraded included alleged cablegram vandals and a antheral accused of stealing 15 tractor batteries.
