Lagos Assembly suspends confirmation of Two Sanwo-Olu LGSC nominees

Lagos State House of Assembly has suspended the confirmation of 2 nominees forwarded by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for assignment into the Local Government Service Commission, LGSC, stating that further reappraisal of their submissions was required.

The affected nominees are Durosimi Yinka and Seriki Ahmed, whose confirmations were deferred pending further scrutiny by the lawmakers.

Meanwhile, the Assembly confirmed the appointments of 3 different nominees aft they successfully completed the screening process. They see erstwhile Chairman of Itire/Ikate Local Council Development Area, Hakeem Bamgbola; erstwhile Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olaleye Samsudeen; and the contiguous past Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Council, Olabanji Folashade.

The decisions followed the presumption of the study of the House’s 12-member ad-hoc screening committee, chaired by Mojeed Fatai Adebola, representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I, during plenary.
