Lagos State Government has arrested 12 suspected biology offenders successful abstracted enforcement operations crossed Lagos Island, Yaba and Ikorodu, arsenic authorities intensify efforts to combat indiscriminate discarded disposal and different biology violations.
The arrests were carried retired by the Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, successful collaboration with the Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI, Corps arsenic portion of the state’s ongoing run to amended biology sanitation and enforce compliance with discarded absorption regulations.
Speaking connected the operations, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, said the agency’s Project WISE Enforcement Team apprehended 11 suspects during surveillance exercises conducted connected Lagos Island and astir the Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, axis.
According to him, the suspects were arrested for offences including indiscriminate discarded disposal, amerciable scavenging and different biology infractions.
