The Federal Government has released activities for the 2026 Democracy Day observance slated for June 12.
Unveiling the activities, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume described Democracy Day arsenic a solemn juncture to bespeak connected the sacrifices of Nigerians who fought for the instrumentality of antiauthoritarian rule.
Akume said the time is to wage peculiar tribute to the heroes of the June 12, 1993 conflict and the precocious Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola.
According to him, the time offers the Federal Government an accidental to showcase achievements successful strengthening antiauthoritarian institutions and advancing nationalist improvement contempt prevailing socio-economic challenges.
