The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it has invalidated 2,103 treble registrations from the Ekiti elector registry ahead of the June 20, 2026 governorship predetermination successful the state.
INEC Chairman, Prof Joash Amupitan, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja during the commission’s 2nd quarterly consultative gathering with leaders of governmental parties astatine its headquarters.
Amupitan stated that removal of the duplicate entries was portion of INEC’s strict committedness to maintaining integrity of the electoral process as the state begins aboriginal preparations for the 2027 General Elections.
