APC, PDP reject new campaign fees policy released by Abia govt

The Abia State section of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has rejected the caller run fees released by the Abia State Structure for Signage and Advertising Agency, ABSSAA for the 2027 polls.

ABSSAA had connected Wednesday, fixed has statesmanlike run fees astatine N200m, governorship run fees astatine N150m and N100m for senate.

The bureau besides said that those contesting for House of Representatives and House of Assembly would wage N50m and N20m respectively.

But reacting to the development, Abia APC alleged that the authorities authorities is weaponizing authorities institutions to intimidate, frustrate and financially cripple absorption candidates.

A connection signed by the APC Publicity Secretary, Uche Aguoru said the argumentation is simply a calculated effort to commercialise ideology and trim governmental participation, adding that it would marque the 2027 contention an exclusive sphere of the affluent and those with entree to authorities resources.
