2027: Publish your assets before election – SERAP tells Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, others

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has charged  each 19 statesmanlike candidates announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to people details of their assets and liabilities.

In a connection by its Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, SERAP besides asked them to marque public assets of their spouses and, wherever applicable, their unmarried children nether 18, up of the 2027 statesmanlike election.

The rights enactment arsenic urged the candidates to disclose the morganatic sources of their important assets and publically cull vote-buying and electoral bribery earlier and during the election.

SERAP asked them to “go beyond the bare ineligible minimum and voluntarily clasp higher standards of transparency, accountability and integrity successful seeking Nigeria’s highest elected office.
