Niger govt orders shut down of illegal mining sites in Gada Daya, Gada Eregi

The Niger State Government has ordered the contiguous closure of amerciable and non-compliant mining sites operating successful Gada Daya and Gada Eregi on Bida Road areas of the state.

The directive followed a associated inspection carried retired by the Niger State Ministry of Mineral Resources and the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.

Leading the delegation, the Commissioner for Mineral Resources, Mohammed Qasim Danjuma, said operators without valid national licenses and authorities documentation would not beryllium allowed to proceed operations.

He said each mining operators indispensable get licenses from the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development and implicit mandatory profiling and registration with the authorities ministry.
