Lagos shuts 10 more businesses over environmental violations

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has sealed an further 10 establishments crossed the authorities for repeated violations of biology regulations, including sound pollution, aerial contamination and the discharge of untreated effluent.

The enforcement exercise, carried retired connected Wednesday, July 1, 2026, followed repeated warnings, abatement notices and respective opportunities fixed to the affected businesses to comply with the agency’s directives.

According to the Lagos State Government, the cognition was aimed astatine enforcing biology laws and protecting nationalist health.

LASEPA said the affected establishments violated assorted biology regulations, including sound pollution, aerial pollution, unlawful discharge of untreated effluent into nationalist drains, obstruction of authoritative duties and continued non-compliance with its directives.
