IGP slams murder, unlawful firearms possession charge on Osun political thugs

The Inspector General of Police, IGP, connected Monday astatine the Federal High Court successful Abuja enactment 4 Osogbo-based suspected governmental thugs connected proceedings connected 2 counts of alleged execution and unlawful firearms possession.

The 4 defendants, namely, Adejare Waliyu, Kilanko Ismaila Damilare, Kehinde Adeola and Muheeb Taoheeb, were arraigned earlier Justice Binta Fatima Nyako for allegedly shooting 1 Sheriff to decease during a governmental crisis.

Counsel to the IGP, Mr Adeniyi Oyeyemi, successful the charges, accused Adejare Waliyu of unlawful possession of blase prohibited pump enactment firearm contrary to Section 27 of the Firearms Act.

In number 2 , the 4 defendants were accused of sidesplitting 1 Sheriff with the unlawfully possessed pump enactment firearm contrary to Section 319 of the Criminal Code Act, 2004.

They were said to person committed the alleged crimes betwixt August 26 and November 28, 2022, successful Osun State.
