The rights enforcement suit against Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, and 4 others brought by erstwhile Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State suffered a setback connected Tuesday implicit the inability of his lawyer to service the respondents.

DAILY POST reports that El-Rufai is demanding N1 cardinal successful damages against ICPC (1st respondent) and others.

They see the Chief Magistrate astatine the Magistrate’s Court of the FCT, Abuja; Inspector-General of Police and the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, named arsenic 2nd to 4th respondents respectively.

Upon resumed hearing, lone Ubong Akpan, the counsel who appeared for the ex-governor, was successful court, arsenic determination was nary practice for the respondents.

Akpan, therefore, informed the tribunal that though the substance was scheduled for mention, they had been incapable to service the respondents.

He sought an adjournment to alteration them bash the needful and Justice Abdulmalik fixed March 11 for further mention.
