Court adjourns financial misappropriation case against Yahaya Bello to May 6

Proceedings successful the lawsuit involving erstwhile Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, were connected Thursday adjourned till May 6, 2026, by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

At the resumed hearing, counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, represented the prosecution, portion Bello was represented by his pb counsel, Mr Joseph Daudu.

During proceedings, the prosecution informed the tribunal of the request for much clip to respond to applications filed by the defence, portion Bello’s ineligible squad urged the tribunal to see their submissions and determination the substance forward.

Justice Nwite, successful his ruling, adjourned the lawsuit to May 6 to let each parties to adequately hole and guarantee a just hearing.

Mr Bello is presently facing charges bordering connected alleged fiscal misappropriation during his tenure arsenic governor, allegations helium has repeatedly denied.
