Human rights organisation, Amnesty International has powerfully criticised a caller directive issued by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), describing it arsenic an unlawful and repressive effort to soundlessness journalists and restrict media freedom.
The directive, titled “formal announcement to broadcasters” and dated April 17, 2026, reportedly targets governmental programming, including anchors of existent affairs and governmental shows. According to Amnesty International, the determination imposes “unduly restrictive and invasive controls” connected media operations.
